“Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can accomplish today.” That’s the motto I tend to live my life by. My name is Katelyn and I am a 27 year old, working towards figuring out what life is all about.
I completed my Master’s Degree in School Counseling last year, and currently working at a private two-year college in Boston. Commuting to Boston is always interesting and there rarely is a dull moment. When I’m not working there, I am also a Mary Kay consultant. Mary Kay products have been around for decades, and they are awesome for your skin! I’m a believer that the better care you take of your skin now, the better it will treat you later in life.
I am in love with my boyfriend of three years who is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Student Affairs. Together, we are life-long learners in education.
This year I started running 5Ks and road races, and plan to continue that into 2012. My goals for the year are to complete a half marathon in May, and to run a minimum of 1,000 miles throughout the year. Running is something I never thought I would do. In high school, I despised it. In reality, it’s a great way to get into shape, to stay motivated, and to gain confidence in yourself. When I run, I feel like I am flying. It’s me against the world, and I’m conquering it.
When I’m not working or running, I love to be with my friends and family. My family is small, but it’s mine and I cherish it immensely. I have realized since college that a person doesn’t need a million friends in their life. All I need is a few good friends that will always be there for me, no matter what.
